レトロスラング: 1970年代

もう今ではあまり使われていないけど、とても良いスラングのフレーズがいくつかあります。－とてもレトロな感じです。私はそれらを普通の会話の中に復活させたいと思います。気に入ったものがあれば使ってみて下さい!!!

There are some great English slang phrases that aren’t used so much any more – very retro.  But I want to have a bit of a campaign to bring some of them back into normal conversation!  If you like any of these – use them!!!

From the 1970s: a cool time of funk, punk and disco  1970年代：ファンクなかっこいい時代、パンクやディスコ

• groovy: used like “cool” (in the 60s and 70s) かっこいい、いかす、すてきな（60年代70年代）

That’s a groovy dress.  そのドレスいかしてる～！
What groovy music! 何てかっこいい音楽なんだ！
Groovy Times by the Clash for you Punk Girls

Get down: to dance/to party/to have sex 踊る、パーティーをする、セックスをする

Let’s get down tonight はKC and the Sunshine BandによるSoul Girlsの為の歌です。

to boogie: to dance 踊る

Boogie Nights は1970年代のポルノ産業についての映画です。ラッパズボン、ローラースケート、セクシーな体、麻薬、そしてもちろん、セックスがこの映画には盛りだくさん！
Boogie Wonderland はEarth Wind and Fireによる７０年代のクラシックファンクの１曲です。
