お酒の英語スラング: 酒飲み

お酒をたくさん飲む人のことを英語スラングでなんと言うでしょうか??　いくつか下にあげてみました。

a heavy drinker: 大酒飲み、酒豪、酒量が多い人
例: He’s a really heavy drinker.　彼は大酒飲みだよ。

a lush: 女性の大酒飲み、飲んだくれ(最近では男性の酒飲みの人をからかう時も使うことが出来ます)
例: She’s such a lush! 彼女はマジで酒飲みだよな!

an alcoholic: アルコール依存症(ものすごく飲む人のことをからかってこうとも呼ぶことが出来ます)

例: Did you see how much John drank last night – what an alcoholic! 昨日ジョンがどれくらい飲んだかみた? 彼はアルコール依存症だよ!笑

So what do we call people who drink a lot?  Here is some slang to help you:

a heavy drinker: someone who drinks a lot
He’s a really heavy drinker.

a lush: woman who drinks a lot (although these days you might call a man that in a teasing way)
She’s such a lush!

an alcoholic: someone addicted to alcohol (can also be used to tease people who drink a lot)

Did you see how much John drank last night – what an alcoholic!
