ニュージーランドの温泉 Hot springs!

私のブログの内容とはちょっとずれていますが…もう直ぐクリスマス、お正月とイベントがたくさんやってくるので、今日はそんなホリデーの休暇にピッタリのおすすめスポットをみなさんにご紹介したいと思います。もしニュージーランドに来る機会がありましたら温泉の情報が載っているこのウェブサイトを是非チェックしてみてください。NgaWhaにありますGinn’sというところが私のオススメです。(写真に写っている場所です)1940年代にとある家族がこの場所を買ったのですがその奥さんの持病リウマチを3週間このお湯につかっただけで治すことができたことからこの家族は温泉を始めることを決めたようです。見た目はあまり良い感じではありませんが、ものすごい効果のある臭いのきつ～いお湯がここでは体験できますよ。

ニュージーランドでは温泉に入るときでも水着を着て入ります。日本みたいに裸で入ってしまったらニュージーランド人は驚いてしまって大変なことになりかねないので注意してくださいねSouth IslandにあるMaruia Springsという温泉だけは日本の様式で入っていただけます! 試してみる価値アリですね それと、ハイキングに出かけて自然の温泉を見つけることもここでは可能ですよ。Rotoruaという人気な温泉の近くにあるKerosene Creek と呼ばれているところはそんなに山奥に行かなくても道から近い所にあります。

Now I know this is a bit off our topic but with holidays coming up, I thought I might give you a recommendation.  If you ever come over to NZ, you must check out this website for hot springs recommendations.  My favorite springs are Ginn’s at NgaWha – a very local place (pictured) but with the most amazing water.  The family who bought it in the 40s did so because the wife cured her rheumatism after soaking in the water for 3 weeks!  So it is not fancy but does have great stinky water.

In NZ usually you need to wear a swim suit, don’t go jumping in naked, people will be quite shocked!  There is one Japanese style onsen in the South Island, called Maruia Springs, definitely worth a visit.  Also you can go hiking to find natural springs as well.  There is one not very far from the road, called Kerosene Creek close to Rotorua that is really popular.
