今回の”セックスアンドザシティー”のビデオクリップの中でサマンサは元彼、リチャードの豪華な別荘でパーティーを開こうとしています。リチャードの”友だち”と名乗る3人の若い女の子たちが別荘内のプールで泳ぐためにやって来て、しまいには、パーティーをめちゃくちゃにする結果に終わってしまいます。このビデオクリップでは、色んな人たちが、その3人の女の子たちが非常に小さなビキニを着けていることに対して話しています。そして、そこで”おっぱい“を意味する英単語が出てくるのでチェックしてみてください！

“ridiculous!” (話にならない)は失礼でなく、自分の気持ちを強く表して“No!”といいたいときに使えます。”That’s crazy” (そんなバカな)とか “I don’t believe you” (いや～私は信じないよ)も同じように使いますよ。

There is very little dialogue in this clip, but I thought it perfectly shows dirty behavior to you!  Samantha loves sex,seeing many different men and is proud of it.  She is really dirty – but in a great way!

The older woman says: Everytime I am in this elevator you are with a different man.

Samantha: That’s ridiculous!

Ridiculous! is a strong way (although not rude way) to say no, we also might use “That’s crazy” or “I don’t believe you” as well.

What to say in bed...

昨日は、”dirty” と”nasty”の意味について学習しましたね。今日は”性欲がありすぎる、ありあまる女性達”に注目してみたいと思います。

She’s a nympho. 彼女は性欲の塊のような淫乱な女だ。

“nympho”は”nymphomaniac”の短縮形です。 では、そもそも”nymphomaniac”ってどういう意味なのでしょうか? これは”女子色情症患者“と言う意味で、”不特定多数の男性とセックスを繰り返す”という一種の病気です。でもここで紹介している”nympho”というスラングはただ単に”性欲が強い女性”と言う意味でこの病気とは一切関係ありません。この名詞は通常、女性にだけ使われます。

She’s a sex-maniac.　彼女はセックス狂だ!(大のセックス好きだ)

このフレーズは今では少し古い響きに聞こえてしまいますが、セックスが大好きだという男性・女性両方に使えます。

We looked at the meaning of dirty and nasty yesterday, today we’ll focus on slang you can use to describe women as over-sexual (although not sure when you become over sexed!)

She’s a nympho.

Nympho is short for nymphomaniac, and what is a nymphomaniac?  It is a real sex-addict.  But with this slang phrase it just means that she has a big appetite for sex, not that she is actually a sex-addict. This noun is usually only used to describe women.

She’s a sex-maniac.

A bit old-fashioned now, but it is a noun that can be used to describe a man or woman who likes lots and lots of sex.

These were quite a difficult posts to think about so if you have any suggestions for words that apply to women who like sex, that aren’t derogatory, it would be great to hear from you.

“fucking”という単語はここでは2通りの異なった使われ方をしています。

• fucking whore————–この”fucking”は、形容詞として使用されています。
• you were fucking him—–こっちは動詞で、セックススラングとして使われています。

日本語でもそうですが、女性のことを”a whore”(売春婦)や”a bitch”(ビッチ・尻軽女)と呼ぶことはとても軽蔑的なことです。シャーロットがショックを受けて傷ついたのも無理はないですね。彼女はとっても優しい女性ですから…。

Continuing on from last week’s Sex and the City slang post, Charlotte is telling the girls about a bad date the night before. She goes on to talk about what happened after her guy came:

Fucking is being used in two different ways here: in “fucking whore” it is being used as an adjective; in “you were fucking him” it is being used as a verb and being used as sex slang.

Calling her a whore or a bitch is derogatory against her – so no wonder Charlotte was shocked and hurt!  She is such a nice girl too!
