今回のSex and the Cityビデオクリップからは“transsexuals(性転換者)”という単語を紹介したいと思います。サマンサはこのビデオの中で”tranny“(transsexualの略称バージョン)のことをシャーロットに“おちんちんは残っているのにおっぱいが付いている人のことよ”と説明していますね。なかなか想像しがたいと思うのですが、このビデオの中にも出てきている、サマンサのアパートの下でうるさく騒いでいる人たちはつまりゲイなんだけど、100%男性の体ではなく、胸を手術でつけており、でもペニスは残しているといった”tranny”なのです。ちょっとここには画像は載せられませんが…この単語をYahooなどの検索エンジンで検索すればそう人たちの写真が出てきますので興味のある方は見てみて下さい☆

In this Sex and the City, Samantha meets her boyfriend Richard after he has been bad.  If I remember rightly he cheated on her (real bastard-behavior!), but correct me if I am wrong!  This clip is a really good example of the word bastard.  As I said before it isn’t as commonly used in the US, but it is used.  Samantha is all class – what style! I wish I had been that composed when I found out an ex of mine cheated on me – instead, I was a screaming psycho, but I did say “You complete bastard! ” quite a few times and then quickly left!
