これは映画Sex and the Cityの中の1シーンです。ここではサマンサがミランダのビキニラインについて話しています。以前、下の毛について触れたということもあり、今日はこの映画に注目してみましょう!

Miranda: The sun feels nice
Samantha: Jesus honey, wax much?
Miranda: What? I didn’t know I was going to be wearing a bathing suit.
Charlotte: What are you talking about?
Miranda: I forgot to wax, I’ve had other things on my mind.
Samantha: I could be on death row(1) and not have that situation.
Miranda: Well Samantha, when you’re married you have a different set of priorities.
Samantha: Oh honey don’t blame marriage, this one’s married and she isn’t growing a national forest. How do you even cross your legs? Let me make you a spa appointment, any thicker and we won’t be able to find it.

ミランダ：あ～気持ちいい。
サマンサ：ちょっと、あんた…ワックスしてるの？
ミランダ：えっ？水着着なきゃいけなくなるなんて知らなかったから…。
シャーロット：何話してるの?
ミランダ：他に色々あってワックスするのすっかり忘れてたのよ。
サマンサ：私なら死刑されるって状況になってもそれは忘れないわよ。
ミランダ：いや～サマンサ、結婚したら他に優先的にしないといけない事がたくさん出てくるのよ。
サマンサ：結婚のせいにはできないわよ。シャーロットも結婚してるけど、彼女のあそこの毛は手付かずの森みたいにボーボーじゃないでしょ。そんな状態でどうやって足閉じるの?
私がスパの予約とってあげるわ。これ以上濃くなったらあそこが見えなくなるわ。

(1)death row…　死刑を求刑されて、死刑執行の日を待っている間
サマンサはそんな死を目前にするような状況になってもあそこの毛の処理は忘れないわ！と皮肉を言っている所が面白いですね！
